Frequently Asked

Good questions, plainly answered.

Did not see your question? Reach out — we are happy to talk it through.
  • Do you accept my insurance?
We are in-network with most major PPO plans and happily file claims on your behalf as a courtesy. Call our front desk with your plan information and we will verify your coverage before your first visit.
  • What should I expect at my first visit?
A new-patient visit usually takes about an hour. We review your health history, take any necessary digital X-rays, perform a comprehensive exam and oral cancer screening, and complete a cleaning when appropriate. You will leave with a clear understanding of your oral health and any recommendations.
  • Do you see children?
Yes — we welcome family members of all ages. For very young children we recommend a first visit by their first birthday or once their first tooth appears.
  • How often should I come in for a cleaning?
Most healthy adults benefit from a professional cleaning every six months. Patients with periodontal needs may be on a three- or four-month interval. We will recommend the cadence that is right for you.
  • Are payment plans available?
Yes. We offer flexible financing options including CareCredit for larger treatment plans. Ask our front desk and we will help you find a plan that works for your budget.
  • Do you offer sedation?
We offer nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") for most patients who feel anxious, and can arrange IV sedation for longer procedures. Discuss your preferences during your consultation.
  • How do I book an appointment?
Use the appointment form on our website, email info@sunsetplazadental.com, or call us at (310) 855-2434 during business hours. New patients are welcome.
